Dorothy Jean Miller, 86, of Bealeton, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
She was born February 25, 1935, in Warrenton, to the late Joseph and Myrtle Miller.
Dorothy retired from the Prince William County government as a data entry operator. In her early years she loved camping in their RV and spending time on their land in Augusta County. In her retirement years she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid bowler. She also loved to play cards, such as “Hand and Foot,” as well as Dominoes games like “Chicken Foot.” One of her other passions was helping those in need. She worked tirelessly in the Feed My Sheep Ministry gathering and delivering food. She will be missed by many.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Fred A. Brown and his wife Tracy of Manassas; four grandchildren, Rick Brown, Nicole Brown, Brittney Dore and Sean Brown, and three great grandchildren, Abby, Izzy and Layla.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by two husbands, Alma R. Brown and Charles W. Miller; a son, Joseph R. “Rick” Brown Sr., and five siblings.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 26, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, at the funeral home, followed by interment at Stonewall Memory Gardens near Manassas.
