Druscilla Prabhakar, 88, of Warrenton, died peacefully on October 4, 2019.

She was the last of four sisters born to the late Annie and J.A. DevaRao. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s/dementia in 2006, and her health rapidly deteriorated during the past few months.

She was born September 13, 1931, in Rangoon, Burma, and during World War II moved to India, where she married Samuel Prabhakar. Widowed after 10 years of marriage, she moved to the U.S. with her daughter Anne Henry and son-in-law Tony Henry and she helped to raise her two granddaughters. Always known for her smile, her kindness, generosity and helpful spirit, she is survived by her daughter Anne Henry, son-in-law Tony Henry, granddaughters; Shalini Robinson and Jacintha Carson; nieces, nephew, and three great-grandchildren; Aaron, Zara and Samara.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday October 9, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 10, at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 13807 Poplar Tree Road, Chantilly. Burial will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park Cemetery.

God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around you
And whispered, “Come to me.”

May her soul Rest in Peace.
