Frances Mae Cole, 78, of Marshall, passed away on September 4, 2019, at her home.
She was born May 5, 1941, to the late John Garfield Elliott Sr. and Mollie Mae Wharton Elliott.
Mrs. Cole was a hardworking woman and had a business in fence painting in Fauquier and neighboring counties.
Frances is survived by, a son, William Harvey Cole of Opal; two daughters, Terra Marie Cole and fiancé Jeff Hall of Marshall, and Brandy Lynn Berry and husband James of Culpeper; a sister, Elaine Hitt of Remington; three brothers, Frank “Woody” Elliott and wife Joyce of Stanley, Mike Elliott and wife Debbie of Remington, and Carl Elliott and wife Donna of Castleton; a sister-in-law, Barb Elliott of Amissville; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Franzell, Vanessa Franzell, David Franzell, Petty Officer 3rd Class Katie Berry, Elizabeth Kennedy, Dustin Berry and Hudson Berry; two great-grandchildren, Maya Richards and Jamar Richards, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny Elliott Jr., Charlie Elliott and William “Louie” Elliott, and daughter, Melissa Ann Cole.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Old Leeds Cemetery in Markham. A reception to follow at her home.
