George Franklin Kerns, 77, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, May 31, 2020, in Nags Head, N.C.
George was born on December 30, 1942, in Warrenton, to the late Silas T. Kerns and Edith M. Bailey Kerns
George grew up in Haymarket and graduated from Osbourn High School in 1962. He was a truck driver until retiring in November 2003. George enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and NHRA racing.
He is survived by his wife, Linda L. Repass Kerns; two sons, George Franklin Kerns Jr. (Erica) and Marc Aaron Kerns (Tricia); two daughters, Kelly Lynn Kerns Lambert (Jack) and Jennifer Lee Kerns Anderson (Justin); seven grandchildren, Andrew Kerns (Caileigh), Anna Kerns, Jackson Lambert, Makenna Kerns, Jett Lambert, Jace Kennedy and Madalyn Anderson, and two great grand-children, Wesley Kerns and Owen Maddalena.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas D. Kerns, and 11 half brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Virginia.
