Gerald L. “Jerry” Purucker, 77, of Midland, passed away October 14, 2020, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville after a long battle with cancer.
He was born September 11, 1943, to the late Glen and Martha Purucker.
Jerry was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved to spoil his grandchildren. Jerry spent many years serving his country that he loved. He loved to camp, fish and enjoy times with his family and friends, and was always there to help them when needed.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dina; two children and their spouses, Daniel Purucker and Sandra Fanzo (Purucker); four beautiful granddaughters, and two brothers and four sisters, Duane Purucker of Niles, Mich., Jim Purucker of Niles, Lois Burks of Buchanan, Mich., Beverly Tucker of Niles, Linda Lee of Ocala, Fla., and Judy Haney of Niles.
He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Wilson of Niles, Mich.
There will be a private local, immediate family memorial service, including a viewing and prayers at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. This is due to COVID-19. He will then be cremated. A Celebration of Life Reception for Jerry will be held in late spring or early summer in Warrenton for his family, friends and coworkers.
