Gladys James Croson, 79, of Warrenton, passed away peacefully Monday, September 6, 2021, at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church.
She was born January 15, 1942, in Loudoun County, to the late Campbell and Lillie May James.
Gladys is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Walter F. Croson; a son, Craig A. Croson and his wife Susan of Warrenton; two sisters, Mary Ruth James Jackson and her husband Tiny Jackson of Winchester and Linda Sue James Jacobs also of Winchester; two brothers, Eugene James of Fork Union and Robert Lee James of Ranson, W.Va.; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Thompson of Woodbridge, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by two brothers, Grover Tyler James of Purcellville and William R. James of Stephens City.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 10, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The funeral will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 10, at Trinity Baptist Church, 8803 James Madison Highway, south of Warrenton. Interment will take place at Bright View Cemetery near Warrenton.
