Obituaries » Helen M. Riley

Helen Marie Riley, 71, of Orlean, went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2019. 

A native of Amissville, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Churchill Riley and Josephine Ryder Riley. She was also predeceased by her husband, James H. Riley Sr.; a son, J. Kevin Riley, and a brother, Franklin C Riley Jr.

Helen is survived by two daughters, Janice M Spangenburg, of Franklin, and Phyllis Stalensky of Manassas, and a son, James H Riley Jr. of Orlean. She has many beloved nieces and nephews and eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. 

Helen loved animals and had dogs and cats that she absolutely loved and they were good companions to her throughout the years when she lived alone. She was an avid gardener and loved the beautiful flowers and always planted them each year and tended them. 

A graveside ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 5, at Culpeper National Cemetery.
