James Douglas Parrish, 73, of Warrenton, passed away peacefully at Fauquier Hospital on Monday, November 25, 2019.
He was born on August 25, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Mr. Parrish graduated from Arkansas Technical High School and maintained a life-long interest in electronics and mechanics. He lived in Arkansas, Florida and Georgia at various times during his life and ultimately in Virginia. He worked as a computer programmer in government and private industry throughout his career. His second love, after his family and pet cats, was motorcycles and motorcycle riding.
Mr. Parrish is survived by his wife, Gretchen Larrimer; his sister, Regina V. Parrish; his niece, Brooke Parrish, and nephew, Craig Parrish.
Mr. Parrish was predeceased by his father, William E. Parrish; his mother, Lorene Thornton Parrish, and his brothers, Donald Wayne Parrish and Dennis Parrish.
A funeral service and burial service will be held in Little Rock, Arkansas.
