Karis Lavon Rose, 80, of Stephens City, passed away unexpectedly from an automobile accident on January 4, 2020, near The Plains.
She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Rose; a sister, Peggy N. Smedley, and a step-grandson, Daniel J. Maher.
She is survived by three children, Thomas B. Rose (Carol) of Marshall, Tammie A. “Cissy” A. Rice of Marshall and Robin L. Rose (Jon) of Stephens City; a sister, Joyce S. Griffith of Warrenton; a brother, Michael E. Smedley of Stephens City; four grandchildren, Tom Rose, Kelsey R. Bellamy, John Michael Harrell and Camden J. Rice; three step-grandchildren, David Rice, Michael Rice and T.J. Maher, and three great grandchildren, Autumn Rose, Jacob Bryce Bellamy and John Remington Bellamy.
A public visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 14, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, January 15, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Upperville
