Obituaries » Katherine J. Cunningham

On Sunday, January 2, 2022, Katherine Jane Irmer Parsons Cunningham, 78, of Orlando, lost her final battle with dementia at home peacefully with her family by her side.

Katherine was born in Orange, Virginia, on February 9, 1943. She was the daughter of Willie Max Irmer and Nanny Estelle Irmer.

Katherine is survived by her four daughters, Terry (Houston Hill), Melissa (Mike Cuhna), Melody (Toby Waters) and Wendy (Alberto Negron), and her only son, Billy (Melissa Parsons). She was the loving grandmother of 17, great grandmother of 20 and had one great-great grandchild.

Katherine had a passion for the outdoors and nature. She loved to draw, write poetry, go fishing while visiting the beach, take long walks at the park, play bingo and cards, have family barbeques, and listening and dancing to hymns, country music and oldies. She also had a huge love for animals whether it be a pet or stray. What gave her more joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
