“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
— Psalm 23:4.
Mary Ann Haley Lee, 75, of Warrenton, gained her wings on Friday, February 19, 2021, at the Reston Hospital Center.
Although she was the only daughter of Kathleen Haley and Walter Timbers, Mary was raised in Midland by Mary and Shelton Allen. She was the sister to George and Robert “Sonny” Allen. All have preceded her in death.
Growing up in Fauquier County, she attended Fauquier County Public Schools. Mary was a very active member of St. James Baptist Church in Bealeton, where Shep Bridgett serves as Pastor. There she was an active member of the Women’s Ministry and Choir. Mary worked in the custodial field with the Manassas City Public Schools until she retired in 2010. She also worked for more than 10 years with Birmingham Green Health Care Center in Manassas. Even after retirement, Mary stayed very active as caregiver to her grandsons and also worked part-time with Fauquier Health and Rehabilitation.
Mary LOVED to shop. She was an avid QVC shopper. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Mary was a fun person who never minced words, loved her hats and dressing up for church and other events. She had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh.
She is survived by her son, Eric A. Haley and wife Stephanie of Remington; three grandsons, Marcus, Jeremiah and Jaecen, and two great-grandchildren, Sincere and Maliyah.
Due to COVID-19, the family will schedule a memorial service at a later date.
