Mary S. van der Woude-Hill, 89, of Catlett, died peacefully on Saturday February 6, 2021, at her home, following a short illness.
Born in The Netherlands on September 3, 1931, Mary immigrated to America in 1953 with her late, former husband, Dr. Harmen van der Woude. Mary will now be reunited with her husband, James Hill in St. Joseph Cemetery in Farley, Iowa.
Mary is survived by her children, Susan, Harmen, Nandine and Matthew; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Mary was a librarian in California before she relocated to Catlett, where she lived out her passion with her Nubian goats. She was very involved and dedicated to the goat milk business.
Due to COVID, a private graveside service will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at 10 a.m. Wednesday February 17, when she will be laid to rest next to her husband, James.
