Robert Douglas “Bobby” Jacobs Jr., 76, of Warrenton, entered into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Fauquier Hospital.
He was born February 26, 1944, in Warrenton, to the late Robert and Rosie Jacobs.
Bobby was most known for being a loving husband, a wonderful father and a hardworking man who had the biggest heart, a beautiful smile, and always put others first, especially his family. His life revolved around his wife, children, and grandchildren. Bobby worked for A.G. Van Metre for 39 years and most recently helped, working alongside his son at JD Jacobs Lawncare and Landscaping L.L.C. He was renowned for his quick wit and joking personality.
Bobby enjoyed the outdoors and constantly keeping busy whether feeding or watching the wildlife, home projects, playing poker, helping out his children, traveling and going to Charles Town along with enjoying family gatherings. He always enjoyed telling everyone the stories of his youth and of his drag racing days, especially in his ’65 Corvette.
Bobby is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Doris L. Jacobs; four children, Tracey M. Wilson and her husband Jeff of Bealeton, Tony M. Jacobs and his wife Angela of Rapidan, Jason D. Jacobs and his wife Stephanie of Warrenton and Brooke Jacobs and her wife Kimberly of Culpeper; four siblings, Earl Jacobs, Betty Armstrong, Catherine Lunsford and David Jacobs; nine grandchildren, Jordyn Harrison, Nicole Dodson, Kaitlin Baucom, Gracie Jacobs, James McKeown, Sarah McKeown, Michael McKeown, Mackenzi Wilson and Zachary Wilson, and three great-grandchildren, Brayden Dodson, Paislee Dodson and Elliana Baucom. He is also survived by his loyal four-legged companion, Smokey, and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Gregg.
The family will accept visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 8, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, in the Moser Chapel and led by Pastor Chris Harrison and Pastor Herbie Leach. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens near Jeffersonton.
