Retired U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Robert Lee “Bobby” Embrey, 68, passed peacefully April 18, 2021, at his home in Strasburg.
He was born February 17, 1953, in Middleburg, to the late, George and Frances Embrey.
Bobby worked for the United States Postal Service in Manassas and was a member of NALC Branch 3520. He was a tow truck driver for The Plains Service Center before finally retiring. He was a lifetime member of the Marshall Volunteer Fire Department. His greatest joy in life was his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Belva Embrey; two sons, Brian and his wife Shelly, and Eric; five siblings, Toby and his wife Karen, Cindy & her husband, Dean, Debbie, Johnny and Joy; four grandchildren, Keith, Logan, Mackenzie and Madison; and daughter-in-law, Patty.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by two sons, Kevin and Keith, and two siblings, Ann and Rocky.
The family will accept visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 23, at Little Georgetown Cemetery, 5100 Trapp Branch Road, Broad Run.
