Robert Wayne Baggette Sr., 78, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019.
He was born November 13, 1940, to Robert Stanley and Mary Ellen Baggette.
“Bob,” as he was known by many, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served on the U.S.S. Forrestal. Bob married the love of his life Mary in 1959. Bob was a master carpenter. He retired as a building inspector for Prince William County. Bob was a devoted Christian and avid outdoorsman, serving the church in many positions and as scoutmaster. Bob was a model railroading enthusiast, having built many beautiful and intricate layouts.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert Stanley and Mary Ellen Baggette, infant grandson Kenneth Baggette Jr., and his beloved wife Mary Frances Baggette.
Bob leaves behind his four sons, Robert Baggette Jr. and wife Mandy, Kenneth Baggette and wife Michele, Bryan Baggette and companion Betty Schnake, and Jonathan Baggette and wife Melissa; 14 grandchildren, Joshua Baggette, Brooke Kenny and husband Devon, Robert Baggette III, Page Cortez and husband Alex, Alexandra Grant and husband Robert, Jacob Baggette, Abby Baggette, Caleb Baggette, Luke Baggette, Graham Baggette, Ashley Carter and husband Alvin, Tony Frazier and wife Nicole, Luke Frazier and Tasha Washburn, and five great grandchildren, Aiden Baggette, Charisma Hensley, Robert Grant Jr., Delilah Grant and Ella Carter.
A memorial service celebrating Bob’s life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, August 10, at the VFW Hall, 12496 Harpers Run Road, Bealeton.
