Obituaries » Heather Leigh Kerns

Heather Leigh Kerns, 34, of Manassas, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Prince William Hospital.

She was born March 25, 1987, in Arlington County, to William B. Jennings and the late Muriel T. Jennings.

After graduating from University of Mary Washington with her MBA, Heather went to work for the Department of Defense, proudly serving in a critical support role for the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force over the course of her career. Her positive attitude, dependability, infectious laugh and bubbly personality helped her to make friends everywhere she went, just like her mother. She was an incredible friend who went out of her way to make each person feel important, remembering every birthday, milestone, and anniversary.

Her dedication as a fitness and wellness coach, where she inspired thousands to live rich lives full of movement and joy, further demonstrated her optimism, perseverance and strength. A loving and doting aunt, Heather spent her weekends creating joyous memories with her nieces and sister. She and her husband often traveled and experienced new adventures, the definition of “Living life to the fullest.”

Heather is survived by her husband of 10 years of marriage and high school sweetheart, Stephen Davis Kerns; her father, William Bryant Jennings; her sister, Ashley Marie Jennings, and two nieces, Lilly and Leah.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Muriel T. Jennings.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 12, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 13, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Warrenton, followed by interment at Bright View Cemetery.

Condolences may be offered at www.moserfuneralhome.com.
