You know it's funny, Fauquier County is still TRUMP country. Trump signs and banners everywhere, it was Trump, Trump, Trump every where in Fauquier County. On this post, 99% say git rid of the bastard. I agree, he is the worst President ever; lying ass who only cares for himself.
But why didn't you all say that before the election??!!
And why did you idiots elect him in the first place??!!

Trump is garbage. Foxzombies don’t know this because they are foxzombies. There needs to be a precedent set and he needs to be held to account for all of his unbelievably traitorous behavior.

Yes, I support efforts to remove him now.
Rep Bob Good (R-5th District) recently tweeted: "House Democrats have decided to fan the flames of division in our country..." I believe Trump through his actions and rhetoric has done most of the "fanning of flames". The house was almost burned down. The impeachment process is an attempt to hold Trump accountable for his actions. Let's not forget the events of January 6 2021 and the attempted sedition. If Trump is not held accountable for his actions now what is to stop similar actions (from other actors) in the future?

Trump should have been kicked out last January. They say that hindsight is 2020, well 2020 is now behind us, let's not fail this time to impeach, indict, and permanently remove him from ever running for office again. It will also strip him of Secret Service protection, his $200,000 yearly pension, and a travel allowance.

"Yes, Trump could be convicted after leaving office -
Even if Democrats impeach Trump on Wednesday, a Senate trial wouldn’t start right away. The earliest a trial is likely to start is Jan. 19, per a letter Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) sent to senators on Friday. House impeachment managers could head to the Senate side to read out the article of impeachment on Jan. 19 or 20, with the actual trial beginning on Jan. 20 or 21. The Post’s Seung Min Kim reports that Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) is exploring using emergency powers to bring the Senate back early, but barring that, the Senate won’t be back until next week.
But what’s the point, if he’s removed from office? The exact ramifications for Trump seem to be an open question, but he would be barred from running for president again in 2024. He would also lose his $200,000-a-year government pension, his travel allowance and his Secret Service protection.
It’s not a sure thing Democrats would send the articles of impeachment to the Senate right away; Rep. James E. Clyburn (D-S.C.) said Sunday that Democrats could choose hold onto the impeachment articles for as long as a few months, allowing President-elect Joe Biden to start his presidential term without the distraction of his predecessor being on trial — and a Senate too busy holding a trial to confirm nominees."
Yes, no more money from the taxpayers, no Secret Service, no running for public office, no travel allowance!!!!!!

"Two police officers from Rocky Mount, Va., were at Capitol Hill riot."

ABSOLUTLEY IMPEACH and this time God Damn it INDICT him so that he can NEVER run for public office AGAIN.
January 10, 2021 at 1:54 pm
If impeached AGAIN next week, he can still be tried in the Senate after he leaves office. If convicted, he will be banned from holding office ever again.

Trump has to be made an example of, not let off with a slap. The head of the snake must be removed.
Putin's playbook, check out what he did in 1994 in Russia to take over, what happened Wednesday was a test, and the Capitol Police and our leadership failed (and I don't mean Trump, he is NO LEADER). No do overs. As my husband says, they should have had them all on the ground on their stomachs with their hands on the back of their heads and told not to move, otherwise be tazed, tear gassed, or shot.

The impeachment effort might actually have enough republican support in the senate to pass.
But that probably wouldn't happen until AFTER Trump left office on the 20th.
It still has value.
There is the symbolic aspect of reminding ourselves and the world that no one here is above the law, and inciting others to violence is never acceptable for any of our political leaders.
If found guilty by the senate, Trump also loses his pension, his government travel stipend, his secret service guard, and his ability to run for office again.
And he gets the official label of Loser.
I'd say it is still worth pursuing.

Trump's speech from behind the bulletproof plexiglass shield was just another in a series of tweets, speeches, and actions during his term in office inciting the white supremacist, domestic terrorist Republicans to do what they did. Haven't you noticed his raised fist as his 'wave'? Didn't you see the tape of his family members dancing and encouraging the riot as they watched the insurgent, armed and dangerous crowd head towards the Capitol? Quit making excuses for him. And, notice he didn't try to stop them once the attack started.

Everyone who believes that “Trump called for an insurrection” or the like, should really watch his full speech instead of watching pundits. At no point does he call for violence.
Just like at some BLM marches over the past few years (no all, but some), there is always going to be a small minority of individuals that are going to take advantage and take to violence and destruction. We as a nation must condemn those who turn these otherwise peaceful demonstrations to destruction and violence while not silencing or otherwise writing off the much larger group of individuals who may be present to voice legitimate concerns.
Here is Trump’s full speech which many pundits are calling “a call to violence”:

Anyone supporting the domestic terrorist insurgents should return their covid relief money. Afterall, it's from a government they want to overthrow. And, it can be budgeted to the Deparment of Justice and FBI to be used towards arresting and prosecuting the traitors.

CENSURE Trump. This will stop him from holding public office ever again.
January 8, 2021 at 7:45 pm
Trump should have been removed in January 2020. Too little, too late Republican enablers!
January 8, 2021 at 6:43 pm
Republicans. Now we all know what they really are and what they really stand for and it isn't pretty nor is it honorable. Republicans. We saw your president in action, we saw his family dancing and smiling as the deadly insurgency began. We saw them murdering police. Anti-semites. Racists. Republicans. All of you.

"Beware the beast Man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primate. he kills for sport or lust or greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of death." ~ The Lawgiver (as spoken by Cornelius in Planet of the Apes)
Trump is a mentally ill monster. We had all better be prepared for January 19-20th, what better time to take out a lot of high ranking officials in one fell moment on Inauguration Day. He is NOT TO BE TRUSTED!

In my opinion, Trump fomented and basically directed the insurrection against our democracy on January 6, 2021. He needs to go, if not willingly, then by impeachment and, hopefully, removal by the Senate. What an absolute disgrace of a president!
