Home schooling kids would be tough if you haven't gone to school in a long time. Have to have computer knowledge along with book knowledge with a dose of sense (and discipline) and lots of patience.

Demosthenes - Yes, that's one of those tricky ones. I can't imagine trying to teach my kids Algebra, yikes, that was ages ago, and even THEN I was not a great student in math.

It's better safe THAN sorry Tony. Sorry to point it out, but if everyone is going to home school their kids this year we probably all need reviews on lessons we forgot decades ago, right?

(Then implies a timeline while than is used for comparisons.)

We have decided to home school our kids through the 2020-2021 school year. Better safe then sorry.

I began ongoing observations of citizens' behavior beginning when we were told to stay at home.I have consistently seen more people disrespecting the idea of facemasks and social distancing than those wearing masks and respecting SD. I've observed people of all ages in many situations, including this past weekend on Main St. My ongoing observations tell me that more people than not do not care about others' safety which is what facemasks and social distancing are meant to do. I've seen the pictures of used facemasks thrown like trash onto the sidewalks and streets, an obvious act of laziness and disrespect. If that attitude transfers from adults to their children, which of course it does, then the schools should be very, very careful about when and how they reopen. btw, the number of cases in Fauquier continues to go up.

“It is terrible. It messes up everything,” Jha told us. He said that combining the test results, as Virginia has done, produces information that is impossible to interpret.

The state’s decision to combine the tests was first reported by the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

It appears due to Virginia's erratic testing and reporting process, we won't be able to accurately determine if the opening of restrictions is working or not by monitoring the rise or fall of virus cases. The state has given us a flashlight without batteries SMH
