"Average CEO earnings at large firms soared to $21.3 million last year
The average pay of the top executives at America’s 350 largest companies could be poised to rise again in 2020, despite the widespread layoffs and pay cuts of the coronavirus recession."

There is our great DIVIDE! The rich are getting richer thanks to the current IMPOTUS and GOP policies and the rest of us are paying all the bills.

And we have another disjointed remark, this time from Ms. Rodgers. Rushing in to save your floundering liberal sister Ms. Ward, I presume? Well, if you want to get the facts on the Klan, contact your democrat governor, CM Klan Robes Black Face Northam. He knows all about the Klan and seems not to be as much "in the past" as you'd like, eh? He's proud enough of his affiliation with the Klan to put a corresponding picture in his yearbook. You people are such fools.

jim goodwin - I read the suit wasn't adjudicated because the girl and her family were threatened that something might happen to them if she didn't withdraw her charges. Who knows? It is disturbing on all accounts. Just because it wasn't adjudicated doesn't mean it didn't happen. But you are OK with that right?

I'm not Democrat or Republican, or Libertarian, or Green. What I'd like to see are people who have this principle in mind, One Nation, Indivisible, With Liberty and Justice for all. An American Party. A government that is for the People, by the People, all the people not just the wealthy and powerful (and/or corrupt).

jimgoodwin - "...the RONA is a convenient way to kill the economy..." Are you actually saying that over 160,000 people killed is a convenience? Get a grip man!

Just like loyal Democrat, due process means nothing. That pdf is a suit that was filed, not adjudicated.
Not Trump's fault certain people want to shut the economy down by hiding in their homes in the hopes that the RONA will pass them by. We're either going to use fear to shut it down or mandates. Either way, the RONA is a convenient way to kill the economy so Trump can't brag on it. But you knew that.

BiggerPicture - BLah, Blah, Blah! Ad nauseum! The Democrats were once part and parcel with the South and therefore the KKK in some instances in the PAST. Guess it's the Republicans turn, at least they are making it part of their agenda in the PRESENT. Instead of white hoods they are putting on RED MAGA hats and calling themselves "patriots".

jimgoodwin - Your poor brainwashed mind!

The economy was thriving before Trump came into office, but it sure is sinking fast DUE to Trumponomics, and this was before the pandemic.

Trump "is no saint". A truer statement has never been written by you jim. Ask the 13 year old girl he had a "good time" with while in the company of his friend, Jeffrey Epstein.

Linda, this post from you is laughable:
"I'd vote for your dog before I'd vote for the current IMPOTUS. He is who he is, God love him, but is not Presidential material, heck he wasn't even able to run his own businesses, WELL he did run 5 of them into the ground, and is working on number 6, the United States of America. The only way Trump could win is by cheating AGAIN."

Trump is running this country into the ground? Really?

Before this pandemic, the economy was thriving. Unemployment was at a all time low. People were upwardly mobile like never before. When the pandemic hit, Democrats saw it as an opportunity to kill the economy and used every means possible to ensure that's exactly what happened. The lies that have been told in an effort to accomplish this and to discredit anything positive done by Trump is mind boggling.

In spite of all their efforts, completely supported by the propagandist CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, BBC, NYT and scads of other media outlets, the stock market has rallied from the largest drop in history. That is mostly due to Trump's optimism and showing that he is NOT going to exert federal control over what are primarily state concerns.

The early need to lockdown was justified as we did not have enough information about this disease to know any other way to combat it. But as the weeks wore on, Democrats and the media did everything in their power to squelch anything positive, even to the point of denying potentially life saving drugs (Hydroxichloroquine). Then they used the urgency of helping the tens of millions of Americans they had put out of work BY FORCE as another opportunity to create an aid package full of unnecessary pork. Because of that urgency the negotiations resulted in a succession of bills that will leave us deeply in debt for God knows how long.

And what was Trump to do? Veto? You know very well how that would have gone.

Democrats have shown they are not worthy of serving because they have no fondness for the founding ideals of this country. They only care about the territory of this country and the power they can gain from controlling its people.

Trump will win again. He's no saint. But, by God, he's better than the ANYTHING the Democrats have to offer. That is, unless you enjoy having absolute government control over every aspect of your life.

Why do you assume I vote in Fauquier County? You certainly are provincial! Am I not permitted by your liberal "rules" to read papers other than the same ones you read? Those suspected of perpetrating voter fraud by presenting false or no identification are noted and usually investigated for other "irregularities." Its called follow up. And, surprise, surprise, other "irregularities" are frequently discovered. Needless to say, voter fraud often is the least serious of those "irregularities." Unfortunately, their bogus vote still stands.

Keep in mind, the KKK is a product of your party, not mine. Forgot about that, too, didn't you? Do a little reading about the Reconstruction and the period thereafter. Learn something about something, for God's sake.

What is the fascination some commenters have with the National Socialists? Martinkus, Bentley, others - the subject keeps coming up. What is the relevance? If you folks are that afraid of a party that hasn't existed for 75 years, I'd suggest you contact Sheriff Mosier and have him set up some routine premise checks for you...you know, in case some National Socialists are hiding in your bushes. Or something.

Trump: a toxic combination of arrogance, ignorance, incompetence, and total dysfunction; a relentless unapologetic and unrepentant chronic liar; a person who is morally bankrupt, ethically bankrupt, and clearly intellectually bankrupt; a vile person who lacks empathy; a person who has destroyed the Republican Party as I knew and is now transforming his administration into authoritarian rule...Heil Trump! He and his staunch allies (i.e., minions) live in an alternative universe spewing alternative facts. He is, in my opinion, the American Hitler. Republicans should be ashamed, as I am.

Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's propaganda minister, was a master of "das Grosse Luge," The Big Lie...repeat a falsehood over and over and over again and it becomes the truth (population fatigue/brainwashing/dump populace). Sounds like Trump and his minions? It has also been said that Vladimir Lenin used this tactic. Hitler's regime also used the "divide and conquer" approach. Sound familiar? The current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is a threat to American democracy, and even more concerning, a threat to our Constitution. The use of force to disperse a peaceful gathering in Washington, D.C. for the purpose of participating in a photo op, using a Bible as a prop, and a church as a background, should send shivers up any decent person's spine. The American Hitler must be defeated in November 2020 and removed from office come January 2021! This flim-flam man must go!

"One last thing, more on topic - have you ever worked in a polling station during a national election? If you have, then you know full well that many poll workers DO NOT challenge voters on proper identification. Its the same old story - we don't need more laws, we need to enforce the laws we already have. And that is not being done on a regular basis."

Proof that this comment is true, otherwise you are LIBELOUS by slandering our hardworking poll personnel? Come on, where did you get that assumption? Being the TRUE AMERICAN you profess to be, it would behoove you to report such conduct to Mr. Ables at the Registrars Office , if it's true...................names and dates.

Peaceful demos between Nov. 2016 and February 2017, why bring those up? You know way to much about KKK doings to just be a silent observer! Active participant is more likely. Read the paper, and something besides National Enquirer.

Trump is the cancer that is eating away at this country. Time to cut it out! See ya, wouldn't want to be ya Karen!

Lets see, there's so much here....ummm. You omitted your proof that President Trump cheated the first time, so your comment about "cheating AGAIN" is quite unfounded and frankly absurd. Remember all of the democrat investigations that turned up nothing? Schiff, Mueller...yawn...there were so many. I guess you conveniently forgot? You should be concerned - those were our tax dollars that were being peed away for months on end. As an American, it concerns me that those circus acts were allowed to continue as they did.

As far as the violence, I was referring to the "peaceful demonstrations" between November, 2016, and February, 2017 - long before the more recent democrat funded extra curricular activities began. Or, perhaps you forgot about that, too?
You would be a terrible witness!

White supremacists, eh? And you learned that from...the Clinton News Network? The good citizens that I saw on television recently smashing windows, looting, setting fires - destroying their own neighborhoods - were black. I don't know any black white supremacists, do you? When democrat governors and democrat mayors and democrat city councils loose complete control of their states and cities, well, they have to blame someone - right? As usual, "no personal responsibility here." So we'll blame "white supremacists," since they are ostensibly operating under a cloak of secrecy and murky enough for us to not be able to do anything about them. Its funny that you mention that - white supremacists are a recurring theme in Loudoun County, too (Do you know where that is?) The liberals are perpetually in a snit asserting that it isn't safe to walk in their neighborhoods at night, that they feel threatened and intimidated, and law enforcement has to do something about it! About what? About plastic bags of birdseed with KKK notes being left in peoples' driveways? That's the danger that white supremacists pose? Pardon my giggling. And you know what? All of the white supremacists hysteria started as soon as Phyllis Randall was elected chairperson of the BoS. What an amazing coincidence! Blaming the white supremacists must be in the democrat handbook somewhere.

But, of course, none of this has anything to do with the poll posed by the paper about methods of voting. I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to further illuminate your flawed thought process and to what degree your mind has evidently been eaten away, as if by a malignant tumor - your Trump derangement syndrome.

One last thing, more on topic - have you ever worked in a polling station during a national election? If you have, then you know full well that many poll workers DO NOT challenge voters on proper identification. Its the same old story - we don't need more laws, we need to enforce the laws we already have. And that is not being done on a regular basis.

BiggerPicture - It's not your fault you weren't raised right.

We received the Center for Voter applications, looked them over, then shredded since they had our personal information.

Below is the requirements for voting in Virginia: Don't like it then petition to change it, you mean well BP, God love ya.

"Virginia law requires all voters to provide an acceptable form of identification at the polls. Voters arriving at the polls without an acceptable form of ID will be required to either sign an ID Confirmation Statement or vote a provisional ballot. If a voter votes a provisional ballot, they will have until noon on the Friday following the election to deliver a copy of identification to their locality’s electoral board or sign an ID Confirmation Statement in order for their provisional ballot to be counted. Please see below in Provisional Ballot Process for Voters Who Arrive Without Identification for more information on how the provisional ballot process will work for those arriving to the polls without ID.

Virginia’s ID requirements also apply to early voters who vote at the General Registrar's Office or at a satellite voting location. Please see the Absentee and Early Voting page for additional instructions and requirements when voting early.

Acceptable forms of identification for voting at the polling place or voting early include the following:

Voter confirmation documents you received after you registered to vote
Virginia DMV-issued Driver’s License or Identification Card
Valid United States Passport
Any ID card issued by the US, Virginia, or a local Virginia government
Any student ID card issued by a US university or community college
Valid student ID issued by a public school or private school in Virginia
Employer-issued photo ID card
Any current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document with your name and address
An ID Confirmation Statement
For a more detailed list of acceptable IDs
A voter who does not bring an acceptable ID to the polls or does not sign an ID Confirmation Statement will be offered a provisional ballot.

Don’t have one of these forms of ID?

Any registered voter who does not possess one of the above mentioned forms of ID, may sign an ID Confirmation Statement.

PROVISIONAL BALLOT PROCESS FOR VOTERS WHO ARRIVE WITHOUT IDENTIFICATION

A voter who arrives at the polling place without an acceptable form of identification or who refuses to sign an ID Confirmation Statement, will be given the opportunity to vote a provisional ballot. After completing the provisional ballot, the individual voting will be given written instructions from the election officials on how to submit a copy of his/her identification or sign and submit an ID Confirmation Statement so that his/her vote can be counted.

A voter will have until noon on the Friday following the election to deliver a copy of the identification or sign and submit an ID Confirmation Statement to the local electoral board. Voters may submit a copy of their ID of ID Confirmation Statement via fax, email, in-person submission, or through USPS or commercial delivery service. Please note that the copy of the ID or signed ID Confirmation Statement must be delivered to the electoral board by noon on the Friday following the election, or the provisional ballot cannot be counted. A Friday postmark will not be sufficient if either of these are not delivered to the electoral board by noon on Friday.

The written notice given to the voter will provide the necessary information, including email, fax, and address where the ID or ID Confirmation Statement should be delivered."

I'd vote for your dog before I'd vote for the current IMPOTUS. He is who he is, God love him, but is not Presidential material, heck he wasn't even able to run his own businesses, WELL he did run 5 of them into the ground, and is working on number 6, the United States of America. The only way Trump could win is by cheating AGAIN.

Here's looking forward to November 3, 2020 and a LANDSLIDE for Democrats. Time to take out the trash!

Yeah? And what happens this time if you don't get your way? More riots? Looting? Arson? Murder? More of those "peaceful demonstrations" we've been seeing over the last two months? Spreading the virus like crazy, in the name of civil disorder. Good plan.

I'd rather be an American than a democrat.

Going to ride that big blue wave right into the registrar's office and dump my absentee ballot on or after September 18th in the Warrenton office. Big Donny and smaller pictures know what's coming, so best they get ready to crawl back under the rocks from which they came.

I plan on voting person - the way ALL US CITIZENS should have to vote, except those on military or diplomatic TDY. And I plan on presenting photo ID, as ALL US CITIZENS should be required to do. And that is the way I voted in this poll - in person on 3 November. But that is a simple check mark in the appropriate box, and does not require an irrational explanation about what it would take ("Hell or high water") to keep me from voting. The question posed did not ask what it would take to prevent readers from voting.

I'm not afraid of a virus and wont be filling out the multiple phony mail in ballots distributed by the Center For Voter Information. Will you? Like many liberals, your derangement over the President's election in 2016 gnaws at your brain every single day, doesn't it? You just can't stand it. And maybe voting in person just isn't enough, eh?

Be sure to vote for Hillary (or is it Joe?).....perhaps the odds will be more in her/his favor this time around, with all of the voting fraud that is sure to accompany the mail in ballot scheme.

Most people in town think you're really smart.....I hear.

Another ridiculous remark that is totally unrelated to the question posed. The question isn't whether or not you will vote, but by what means will you vote. More evidence of the flawed thought process and complete lack of focus. There is reason for concern if one can't understand a simple question and answer it in context.
