How much of the impeachment trial did you watch?

The U.S. Senate on Saturday voted, 57-43, that former President Donald Trump incited the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, but the vote fell short of the two-thirds majority necessary to convict.

The five-day trial, which started Tuesday, Feb. 9, and continued for about 30 hours, resulted in Mr. Trump’s second impeachment acquittal in two years.

Unfortunately, "ineptitude" isn't a crime, Cammie.

If Trump committed incitement, then ALL political speech is incitement to violence. There are many Democrats that ought to have been impeached based on the criteria they themselves set forth.

Jennie - Hard not to vote guilty when he was most certainly that.
Are you saying that he was innocent of all culpability for EVERYTHING he did over the 4 years of his failed presidency? Now who is being a hypocrite pointing the finger at the Democratic Party? Even people in the GOP think he is a liability to their party and the country! Your OWN Party believe he was guilty!!

A lot of America could see the utter ineptitude of the EX-POTUS, that's how he lost by over 8 million votes. He lost and he's a sore loser, nothing more to be said about that fact.

Blaming Republican's for letting public know that they would vote not guilty but of course not holding Democrat's feet to the fire when EVERYONE in America and the rest of the world knew that the Democrat's WERE ALWAYS going to vote Guilty in this impeachment and the with the 1st impeachment. Maybe the Republican's thought it was a joke because of all the Democratic politicians using the same language throughout the Trump Administration and a lot of America could see the utter hypocrisy.

Watched enough of it to know that the Democrats were guilty as hell for using the SAME incendiary remarks for the last 4 years.

Watched enough to know that Trump was as guilty as hell, and that the impeachment trial was a write-off as the majority of Republicans had already cast their votes before the trial had even started.

rally39 - I think Ms. Rodgers is saying it was a farce trial with the R's being court jesters who didn't take it seriously. When a person already tells you how they are going to vote before the trial even takes place, it isn't really a fair trial, now is it?

That wasn't a trial based on a court of law without considering the majority of Republicans to be jesters.
