Amanda Chase is complicit by giving legitimacy to the rioters by being there in support of them.

It is my understanding that the Chairman of the Fauquier County Republican Committee planned to attend the Trump rally on January 6th. I don't know if that occurred, but if so...WOW!

Personally, anyone that was there yesterday to disrupt and destroy deserves what's coming. Sedition is a felony. Destruction of Federal property is a felony. Assaulting an officer is a felony.

I agree with Bonnie C. I've always been an independent voter, and always tried to pick the the best person for the job, regardless of party. Now? It's possible I might support a Republican for local office, but only if I know him/her personally and have evaluated that person's character. But going forward, in state and national politics the Republican Party has been shameless and spineless in supporting the cult of Trump. Democrats are far from perfect (sometimes far, far far, from it) but for state and national elections, better a flawed Democrat than a seditious, spineless, or immoral Republican. That may not be a popular opinion in our deeply red county, but that's OK. I just hope nobody from Fauquier was part of that mob at the Capitol yesterday...

Today was proof that we need to be more careful about the people that we allow into office and power, and if they prove themselves untrustworthy and dangerous, REMOVE them.

So long as it's not a Republican, I'll be perfectly happy. Normally I'm an Independent & in the past have voted for both Republicans &/or Democrats depending on their individual policies. But now, after Trump??? I'll never vote for a Republican again. They've all proved themselves dumber than dirt.

ANYONE who would vote for Amanda Chase needs their head examined due to a clear neurological impairment!

I don't have any idea who may win, but I do know that I will NOT be voting for a Republican, so that narrows that extensive list down for me.
