YES, YES, and YES. Recreational YES. It's 2021, get out of the past! There are some dumb posts here. It's not a gateway drug. AmericanPatriot... There is a Trumper boy! Dumb as they get.

What does the ABC have to do with this? Why are they involved? 30% tax seems a bit much. Who will benefit from that tax?

This is all about regulation and nothing about potential abuse.

What could be better than a stoned populace while their babies are being murdered?

No interest in the stuff myself, but I don't see why our government should tell people what to do when it comes to their own bodies. People have a million other unhealthy options for their health but we don't prevent alcohol consumption, sugar consumption, time spent on the couch, dangerous hobbies like rock climbing, on and on.

Agree though with Bonnie - it is important to regulate substance use and driving so that we are not harmed by other people's decisions.

It's not only a gateway drug for users with known adverse side effects, it is a gateway drug for legalization. Oregon just decriminalized all drugs. At a time when substance abuse is on the rise and overdoses are killing members of our community, do we really want to tell people that drugs are ok? And all so we can make some money off of it?

I don't know about the ABC board having a hand in this, since they have "drinks to go" at their counters obviously not caring about drinking and driving, although the state does make money off of DWI, perhaps "joints to go" SMH

I'm undecided about it. I'm not a user myself, but don't have a problem with others using it, so long as it's done responsibly & regulated in the same way alcohol is. Namely, that people realize that they're under the same risk of arrest/punishment as if they were driving or out & about "under the influence" of alcohol. There has to be some method of regulation, or we're going to have problems, especially driving.

Psych facilites are chock full of patients who use pot for self-medication. Do we need to introduce government implied approval to a substance who only use is to lose your grip on reality?

For cryin' out loud we justy elected Hide 'n Biden - isn't it evident enough folks have already lost touch with reality?

But of course. This is a democrat double-play! Keep people stoned so they can't see their liberties being eroded AND get tax revenue in the process? Pure genius.

I would support it if the tax wasn’t 30%. I think a reasonable tax would be 20%.
