Irene Marie Johnson and Darrell Wayne Poff Jr. were married at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Bon Air, Virginia on June 27, 2015. The Reverend Canon Jeune Godsey presided over the service.
The bride looked stunning in a beautiful white Alfred Angelo strapless wedding gown that featured a sweetheart neckline on a draped and crystal beaded lace bodice. The gown was a traditional A-line skirt crafted from taffeta and re-embroidered lace. Crystal and covered buttons cascaded down the entire back of the gown to the bottom of the sweep train. Her bridal bouquet was made up of sunflowers, hydrangea, snow-on-the-mountains, and thistle.
She was attended by her sister, Emily Johnson, and bridesmaids Charlotte Christensen, Toriana Davidson, Lisa Gribble and the groom's sister, Kristi Poff. The groom's best man was his brother, Joshua Poff, and the groomsmen were Neil Amin, Jeremy Holder, Sean Regan, and brothers of the bride Jacob and Paul Johnson.
The bride is the daughter of CAPT Lee Johnson (USN, Ret.) and Barbara Tourtelot of Delaplane, Virginia. The groom's parents are Mr. Darrell Wayne Poff of Round Rock, Texas, and Debbie and Jimmie Huff of Gloucester Point, Virginia.
After the ceremony, the couple celebrated with friends and family at the Omni Richmond Hotel, before a short trip to The Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia. A longer honeymoon in the Caribbean will follow. They'll make their home in Richmond.
