The Fauquier County Fair opens its gates to the public on July 13 at 2 p.m. and will feature contests, live exhibitions, pageants and other special events through July 16.
The fair, a nonprofit organization tasked with the explicit purpose of conducting a fair, will open each day at 2 p.m. -- with the exception of Saturday, when the fair starts at 9 a.m. -- and close at 11 p.m.
The Fauquier County Fair Grounds are located at 6209 Old Auburn Road Warrenton, VA 20187.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. General admission day prices are as follows:
-Kids (11 & under): $5
-Senior citizen (55 & over): $5
-Adult military (must show ID): $5
Some of the attractions will feature a petting zoo (open all day), junior ATV rodeo, carnival rides and games (all-day bands will be available), a magic show, a pie-eating contest, a beer garden (from open to close), circus performances and more.
Country artists Trey Schneider and Ryan Jewell will also be performing Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and the True Grit Rodeo will happen on Friday and Saturday starting at 7 p.m.
